Gizmo Go-Kartz is an arcade-style Kart Racer for IGM students to play at any time between classes. It has a retro cartoony style that's meant to be easily recognizable to students. While having RIT-themed inspirations, Gizmo Go-Kartz puts a chaotic twist to them and captures the excitement of many Kart Racers. It is a passion-fueled project with the goal of serving as a proof of concept for many future Co-ops to be created with the same IP and style.
My Role:
I had the opportunity to serve as a Level Designer, where I created the beginner-level track using Unity. From managing
the asset request pipeline to arranging scene elements and refining the layout based on player feedback, I gained
hands-on experience in both technical design and collaborative development.
This project not only sharpened my skills in Unity but also connected me with an incredible team of creatives within the
Game Design Program here at RIT. I'm especially proud of how confident I now feel tackling personal game projects and
continuing to grow as a designer.
